Daniel laughed and shook his head, pushing the empty glass away and rubbing his forehead against the sound of the club around them.

"Not everyone would quite find the two comparative, but I have always been far more fond of my patients than their owners." Did that make him seem strange? It was not as if he did not like people. He was just more fond of the animals that lived with them. Animals seemed like much more honest creatures.
